Carmella got what Alice meant. Morrison was one of the investors in the movie, and if they had a connection with Magdalen, it would definitely be good for securing the position of movie designer. 

Actually, she wasn’t really familiar with Magdalen. They’d met at the last auction, but Magdalen hadn’t said a word to her from beginning 

to end. 

Going over there without an invitation, would Magdalen even pay attention to her?

Estelle turned and texted back: [Yeah.] 

[Be there in a sec. See you soon.] Texted Jonathan. 

Estelle decided to add: [Pretend you don’t know me when you get here. Don’t come to me.] 

Jonathan responded with a question mark. 

Estelle explained: [I’m still at work, and I want to be a designer on my own merit.] 

In a setting like this, even if she were just a friend of his, the situation might get messy, and the movie designer selection would be pointless. People would gossip about her getting connected to Mr. Lamont. 

A few seconds later, Jonathan replied: [Can I sneak a peek at you, then?] 

Estelle couldn’t help but curl her lips. Mr. Lamont was just too adorable when he was being playful.
