When they returned to the hotel cafe, Alivia and Lucas were having a good time. They were holding the funnel of iced coffee on the table. When they saw Bert come in, Lucas picked up the coffee cup from the table and handed it to him, saying, " Mr. Harper, this is the coffee I made for you."
Bert was a little relaxed as he took a sip and said, "Not bad."
It pleased him to see that Lucas had grown and learned to show respect to others.
"Did Ms. Glenn leave?" Alivia asked.
"Yeah," Bert nodded.
"Mr. Harper, where should we go to have fun later?" Lucas hadn't seen him for a while, but he was still carefree. The thought of going out with Bert made him very happy.
"Where would you like to go?"
Lucas's big eyes darted around, and he excitedly exclaimed, "I want to go to the arcade! I want to play basketball and race cars!"
Before, Evelyn had always been reluctant to take Lucas to those places, and Bert had tried to minimize such a situation. However, seeing how happy Lucas was now, he couldn't bear to dampen the child's enthusiasm. He agreed, "Alright, I'll take you there, but you have to behave and not run around."
"I promise I will! I promise!" Lucas said several times, even putting down his cake and immediately pulling Bert toward the exit, "Let's go!"
Before leaving, he didn't forget to call Alivia, "Ms. Graves, you have to come with us too!"
Such an adorable child, no one could resist liking him, and Alivia was no exception, "Okay, I'll accompany you."
