Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 1382

Chapter 1382 Snatching Marcellus's Wine and Drinking It up

Marcellus cast his gaze downward at the small hand resting on his own. She applied some force, but if he wanted to shake her off, he wouldn't need to exert any energy at all.

However, Marcellus didn't move. He was somewhat fond of the raised eyebrow from the girl beneath his palm. Raising his eyebrow back at her, he told her to let go.

"I won't," Beryl had never defied him so blatantly. Thinking of what Kevin had said, she didn't back down in the slightest, "I know you're angry about what happened last night, but you're misunderstanding. I didn't..."

"There's no need to explain," Marcellus interrupted her. Thinking about their conversation in the tea room last night, his irritation grew. He withdrew his hand, "I'm not interested in listening to someone who uses emotions as a bargaining chip."

"I didn't bargain..." Beryl started to say something else, but he had already turned his body and turned up the volume to the maximum. The music drowned her voice, completely swallowed by the laughter of the crowd.

The woman sitting next to her saw her deflate and thought she was just an unwelcome girl. Looking at her plain clothes, she disdainfully spilled some of her drink, the liquid landing directly on Beryl's feet.

The white canvas shoes were instantly soaked in a large area. Beryl quickly moved her feet, but it was too late.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," The woman said to her without any hint of apology, her expression full of indifference.

She turned her head to Marcellus, and coyly chided her, "Marcellus, you should tell your little friend to go change her shoes."

Marcellus' gaze swept over her wet shoes, his sharp brows furrowing slightly, but he said nothing. Instead, he reached out to take the glass of alcohol on the table.
