Even though Beryl had never been in a relationship, she had seen enough of it around her. If she couldn't catch his hint now, she would really be a fool.
She pushed the man behind her away impatiently, "Alright, go get some sleep."
"I'll go with you to the hospital tomorrow morning."
Beryl was slightly stunned, "Why are you coming with me?"
Compared to her nervousness, he seemed to be carefree, "To see how my girlfriend's father is recovering. What else could I do?"
"Maybe we should wait a bit. If my father sees you, he will start interrogating you again..."
"Then just be honest. Tell him I'm your boyfriend. It's not something to be ashamed of, is it?"
Just thinking about it made Beryl's heart flutter. She had never been in a relationship before, let alone having her family know about it. She's only a freshman in college, not that old. She didn't dare to think about how her father would react if she started dating someone Marcellus' age...
"I'm not mentally prepared yet..."
Marcellus thought that she was unwilling to make their relationship public, which surprised him. "It's either you tell or not. What's there to prepare for?"
"No, I'm afraid my family will..." She stopped mid-sentence, looking hesitant.
Marcellus prompted, "What?"
Beryl didn't want to be too explicit, but seeing his persistence, she finally gritted her teeth and said, "They might not accept it."
Upon hearing this, Marcellus stopped his pushy attitude and fell silent.
