They had just confirmed their relationship, and Marcellus was at the peak of his excitement. However, due to her family situation, they could only meet secretly.
For Marcellus, it was extremely difficult to endure, and not just for him; any man would find it hard to bear.
So, when their lips touched, he immediately responded with eagerness. Despite being experienced and not some inexperienced young lad, he couldn't help but be impatient.
Unfortunately, they were in public, and he could only show his eagerness by passionately kissing her as if he wanted to devour her entirely.
Anxiously enduring this storm of passion, Beryl felt her hands clutching tightly at his chest, overwhelmed by emotions.
In the midst of their confusion and infatuation, neither of them noticed a middle-aged woman approaching through the side entrance of the small garden. When she reached them, she exclaimed in a low voice, "Oh my, what are you two doing here?"
The middle-aged lady covered her eyes and quickly passed by them, muttering a few words, "This is near the hospital; can't you be a bit more mindful in public places?"
Startled by the woman's voice, Beryl suddenly snapped out of it. She quickly stood up from beside him, turned around to face away from the woman, and her face turned bright red.
Marcellus remained calm and watched the lady walk away, unaffected by the interruption. As soon as she was gone, he reached out to pull Beryl close again, but she evaded his touch.
He raised an eyebrow, "Avoiding me?"
"Stop fooling around. I should go back now." They had been down here for almost forty minutes, and if she didn't return soon, Wallis would start nagging again.
As soon as Beryl mentioned going back, Marcellus's expression soured, clearly displeased, and made no effort to hide it. He let her see it clearly, "I'm so miserable; I spent more time on the road bringing you food than the time I got to spend with you."
