He just wanted to see her, so no matter when or for how long, it was enough for Marcellus. He would always be fine with her.
If it weren't for meeting this person, he wouldn't believe he could go to such lengths for a woman.
This was the type of person Marcellus used to despise the most, but now he was willingly immersed in it.
"Just call me whenever you're free, and I'll come to meet you." He naturally held her soft hand.
Though it was just a simple sentence, Beryl was moved and almost wanted to cry.
The words "I'll come to meet you" surpassed all sweet talk. He promised her that whenever she wanted to see him, he would be there by her side.
Beryl saw Marcellus off from the hospital, walking a few steps behind to avoid being seen. They stood on the roadside, waiting for half a minute until the driver brought the car over.
Beryl watched as he bent down and got into the car. The window rolled down, and that handsome and dazzling face smiled at her. "Go back now. Contact me if you need anything."
"It's all right, don't worry." Beryl pouted and didn't want to leave, but she had to. "I'm going upstairs. Let me know when you're home."
"Sure." Marcellus waved his hand and gave her a slight smile. "Go on, remember to think of me."
This guy... he had to tease her even at the end.
So, blushing, Beryl turned around and walked in the direction she came from. When she was close to the corner, she turned back and waved her hand, then quickly walked away.
Marcellus kept watching until she completely disappeared from his sight. The car window rolled up again, and he pinched the bridge of his nose, instructing the driver, "Let's go."
