Chapter 147 The Reason for Resignation 

Stella’s sharp and angry voice came through the door. 

Evelyn frowned. She didn’t want to eavesdrop, but now she couldn’t move. After all, it had something to do with her. 

Charlie did not speak for a long time. Stella had been talking alone. In the end, the man said coldly, “Are you done?” 

“Lawyer Athena, why don’t you believe me?” After Stella vented her anger, she suddenly calmed down. “Can’t you feel my admiration for you?” 

Charlie spoke again. His voice was filled with impatience. “I treat you as a colleague. If there’s nothing else, you can leave.” 

A few seconds later, the office door was pushed open from the inside. Evelyn was almost hit in the nose, but fortunately, she avoided it.

“I heard that you’re going to resign…” She looked at the big cardboard box on his desk, which contained his personal belongings. “Can I ask you why you suddenly resigned?” 

Charlie paused for a moment and said with a bitter smile, “Do you really not know, or are you pretending not to know?” 

Her heart skipped a beat. Sure enough, it was as she had expected. Perhaps this matter had something to do with her. 

Her face darkened slightly. “Just say it.” 

Charlie looked straight into her eyes and said, “President Lloyd personally gave the order to fire me this time.” 

“What?” Evelyn was shocked.
