Chapter 174 Who Are You
Bert stared at the woman in front of him without blinking. Her palm-sized face was pale, and she looked frightened. Her long black hair was wet by the lake and stuck to her cheeks and shoulders. She was petite but only reached his chin. Her skin was very delicate, and her eyes were full of tears. She was not aggressive at all.
The fingers holding the pistol moved slightly. “Help me untie my clothes.!”
Evelyn was shocked. “Wha-what?”
Bert frowned impatiently. “You don’t understand human language?”
Evelyn clenched her fists and kept a straight face. After a strange silence, she stood still and said, “Why should I help you take off your clothes?”
Bert snorted. “For sex?”
Evelyn widened her eyes and looked at him warily. “What is he talking about?” she thought.
Evelyn was so angry that she gritted her teeth and said, “Do
you have the ability now?”
Bert glanced at her palm-sized face, but he was not angry. He pointed the pistol at her and said, “Hurry up and untie it.”
Seeing Evelyn was still hesitating, Bert’s last bit of patience was exhausted. “I’ll count to three, or I’ll shoot you.”
“One, two.”
Before the last number left her mouth, the woman finally took
a small step forward. In order to survive, she endured it.
In just a few steps, Evelyn seemed to have walked to the guillotine with difficulty. As she got closer, she could smell the strong smell of blood on his body.
There was a black hole on the left side of his abdomen, from which dark red blood was oozing out. The liquid soaked his shirt, leaving a dark brown mark.
Evelyn stretched out her hand to him, and her small hands trembled uncontrollably. When she touched the warm and wet part, she shivered. Before she could make a move, she heard the man groan.
With a “bang,” the man felt a sharp pain in his forehead. He pressed the pistol in his hand against hers and said with absolute force, “You did it on purpose!”
Evely
her head. Her neck was as stiff as
a piece of wood. Seeing more blood oozing out of the black hole, she couldn’t help trembling.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose,” she said in a nasal voice.
Bert endured the pain and raised his hand to pinch her cheeks. The blood on his hand stained the woman’s white and
tender face, which had a strong contrast and a forbidden beauty.
Bert glanced at her lips, which had turned pale with fear. “Hurry up.”
She nodded hurriedly, afraid that he would shoot her in the
head in the next second.
Evelyn unbuttoned Bert’s shirt. There was a bullet stuck in his abdomen, and he could vaguely see the end of the bullet. The
whole bullet had sunk into his flesh.
Evelyn endured the discomfort in her stomach, tore off her clothes according to his instructions, and wrapped them around his wound to slow down the bleeding.
