Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 431

Chapter 431 He Was an Outsider

Evelyn knew that Huston was coming over, but she didn’t raise her head. She didn’t want to see him at all. Lucy was the first to react. She sat up straight and looked at the extraordinary man in front of her with dignity.

“Hello, Mr. Lloyd,” Lucy greeted him coldly. Her tone was neither high nor low, but it made his heart sink.

Huston lowered his eyes, and his eyelashes trembled slightly. He cleared his throat with difficulty and spoke, “Mr. Shelton’s condition is stable. No need to worry. The surgery should be completed in a little while.”

maintaining a calm demeanor, and said, “The hospital is

different from home, You don’t need to hesitate to ask for,

anything. Feel free to let me know anytime.”

Lucy was stunned for a moment. If nothing had happened,

she would have thought Huston was a good and reliable man,

but now…

She smiled politely and distantly. “Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Lloyd. We can’t afford to owe you a favor.”

Huston did not feel displeased. He simply said, “This is what I

should do.” Then, he

When the tall figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, Lucy breathed a sigh of relief. Although she had lived for most of her life, sitting in front of Huston was stressful.

She turned around and wanted to say something to Evelyn,
