Chapter 533 When Did Your Period
Come?
Almost immediately, Evelyn got up and rushed into the bathroom of the room. She lifted the toilet lid and hunched over it, unable to restrain herself as she started to retch uncontrollably.
She felt a spasm of discomfort in her stomach as if her entire stomach had folded in on itself.
She thought that vomiting for a while would bring relief, but to her surprise, it only worsened. There was no sign of alleviation. After several consecutive bouts of retching, her throat started feeling burning.
Huston was shocked by her sudden action and sat outside for a second or two, unable to react. By the time he did, Evelyn in the bathroom was already sitting on the ground.
He strode over and picked her up, staring at her with concern and anxiety. “What’s going on?”
Evelyn wanted to say that she was fine, but as soon as she opened her mouth, a disgusting feeling swept over her again.
“Ugh…” She continued to vomit for a while, but there wasn’t much in her stomach to begin with. She only expelled some bitter bile.
When the disgust subsided a little, she said weakly, “I… I’m fine.”
“It’s already like this, yet you’re still saying it’s fine?” Huston’s brows furrowed into a knot, concerned for her well-being yet frustrated by her dismissiveness. Seeing her in such distress, his heart grew tense. His tone became heavy as he asked, “What would it take for you to consider it as something serious?”
It was unknown whether it was because Evelyn felt wronged or because she vomited too hard that her eyes turned red. Her fair skin, already pale, now appeared even more noticeable.
So what if he was anxious or angry? Looking at her tearful eyes, he couldn’t say anything to blame her.
“Can you still stand up?” he asked in a much softer tone.
Evelyn tried to put her hands on the edge of the toilet and got up shakily. With Huston’s help, she walked to the sink, turned on the tap, and cupped a handful of cold water to rinse her mouth, suppressing the nauseous feeling.
Huston took out a tissue and carefully wiped the water from the corner of her mouth. Looking at her pale face, his expression
was not relaxed. “Follow me to the hospital.”
Evelyn was stunned. “What?”
“I said, follow me to the hospital.”
“I’m not going.” Evelyn refused without thinking. How could
she go to the hospital in the current situation? If she went to the hospital, her pregnancy would be exposed.
“I didn’t discuss it with you.” Huston’s tone became tough. He had never treated it as a small matter when it came to her.
