Chapter 532 Don’t Smoke Too Much 

Although Evelyn was mentally prepared, she couldn’t help clenching her fists on her knees when she heard the number. 

She smiled bitterly and looked away. “Considering the crime of intentional murder, this outcome is already not bad.” 

She knew that he had tried his best. 

“Evelyn…” Huston’s throat felt a sharp pain with each word. The sourness that surged within him had to be suppressed. “I had intended to bail you out, but the current situation seems quite difficult.” 

“I’m mentally prepared. This is the price I have to pay for my willfulness.” When the confession was turned over in court, Evelyn already knew what was happening. 

They exchanged glances, both feeling uneasiness and pain in their hearts. They loved each other deeply, yet they tormented each other. Every cell in their bodies longed for kisses and embraced, but reality only offered cold cruelty.

Although Evelyn had always advised him not to smoke, she rarely stopped him directly.

He pressed the button of the lighter, producing a crisp ‘click’ sound. Flames rose from the nozzle, emanating a warm red glow illuminating his sexy chin. 

With narrowed eyes, Huston took a deep drag from his cigarette. His profound gaze slightly squinted as if savoring the moment. 

The stimulating gas slid through his nostrils, entered the trachea, and finally drifted into the lung lobes, gently stimulating the cells within. The cells expanded and flowed, seemingly arousing his deeper desires. 

White smoke slowly exhaled from his nose and drifted to Evelyn’s side with the air. 

Even though it wasn’t a strong scent, and Evelyn had been fine with it before, at this moment, she felt a strong aversion in her heart.
