Hearing this, Bert suddenly stopped and lifted the little woman before him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and carried her to the marble table. His waist was pressed against the woman's thigh, his arms were on one side of her body, and his tall body was pressed down.
Evelyn glared at him in panic and put her hands between their bodies. "Put me down!"
With him blocking her like this, Evelyn couldn't move at all. She could touch a place she shouldn't have touched with a slight movement.
"I didn't know you wanted to disassociate yourself from me one day, did you?" His voice was already full of displeasure, and a hint of sarcasm was in it, making people uncomfortable.
Knowing he had misunderstood, Evelyn hurriedly explained, "That's not what I meant. I just want to live through my efforts in the future instead of relying on you all the time. This will make me feel that my life is worthless."
"Then what's worth?" Bert narrowed his eyes and stared at her. "Will it be worth it if you kick me away after using your ability?"
Evelyn widened her eyes in shock. "That's not what I meant."
"Then what do you mean?"
After his reminder, Evelyn finally remembered. On the way back, she flew back to Jewel City and thought of that man. At that time, she turned her head and looked out the window, thinking he would not notice, but he still caught her.
This man was so sharp that no one could escape his eyes.
Evelyn lowered her head in embarrassment. "Nothing."
There was no need to say more about her mood. Bert had an answer in his heart. The woman before him was a little nervous, and her breathing was rapid. Bert couldn't help but glance at the pair of plumper breasts after pregnancy.
