Evelyn's body kept trembling. She tried her best to suppress the panic in her heart and tried to calm herself down. She knew that she would not have a good ending if she confronted this man head-on.
They looked at each other and did not speak for a while.
Evelyn took a deep breath and said pleadingly, "Let me go."
"Let you go, and then?" Huston stood up and approached her step by step until he stopped at her feet. "I'll give you another chance to stay away from me?"
"I can't escape." Evelyn smiled bitterly and looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "You have the ability to make me unable to escape, don't you?"
"That's right, so don't struggle meaninglessly, okay?" Huston didn't want to hurt her, but her reaction now seemed to have forgotten about him, making him panic.
"Huston, I don't know how to face you. I need to sort out my feelings."
"Why don't you know?" Huston moved a little closer and raised her white chin. "Is it because of your boyfriend or because you forgot about me after five years?"
How could she forget?
Evelyn couldn't help but mock herself in her heart. Her eyes blinked twice but she forced herself to say, "Five years is just too long."
Hearing her words, Huston narrowed her eyes. He looked at her with a scrutinizing gaze, but she was looking at the night sky behind him.
"So you don't love me anymore?" Huston growled, "Evelyn, look at me."
Evelyn was forced to take a step back. She thought that as long as she had a firm stand, this man would take a step back. So she straightened her neck, clenched her fists, and said to him, "Yes, I don't love you anymore. I fell in love with someone else."
