Chapter 666 Let’s See If I Can Handle Them
After calming himself down, he ambiguously asked, “Didn’t
you say that you’re willing, but she might not agree? Now it’s up to you to decide?”
“Well, you wait and see. Let’s see if I can handle them.”
With these words, regardless of Sir Lloyd’s mood, Huston, smiled mysteriously and said, “I’m leaving.”
As Huston was walking downstairs, he coincidentally bumped into Madam Lloyd coming up. She glanced at the study and, relieved to see no signs of things being smashed, called out to him in concern, “You’re leaving just like that? Drive safely on your way back!”
Watching Huston leave from the front gate, the sound of the car engine fading away in the yard, Madam Lloyd finally entered the study.
Sir Lloyd sat in his chair in the study, lost in thought, and didn’t lift his head when she entered.
“What did you talk to Huston about?” she asked.
“I asked about the child.”
His voice trailed off, and silence filled the room once again. Madam Lloyd looked at him inquisitively and sighed again. “What do you think about the child?”
Finally, Sir Lloyd furrowed his brows and, ultimately, relented. “What else can we think? If the child is truly Huston’s, then we’ll recognize him!”

After having dinner at home, Evelyn finished her meal and prepared to head back to Grace’s place. There were many things she needed to take care of upon her return, and it was inconvenient for her to stay at home. Coming and going early and late would disrupt their rest.
Lucas got along well with his grandparents. Although they were a little unfamiliar at first, they quickly became close since they were family.
After considering it for a moment, Evelyn discussed it with Ben and Lucy. She thought about temporarily leaving Lucas here. “Lucas, Mom will be busy with work in the future and may not have time to take care of you. Are you willing to stay with your grandparents for a while?”
“Great!” contrary to Evelyn’s expectations, Lucas readily agreed. After agreeing, he looked at her reluctantly and said, “Mom, make sure to come and visit me often, okay?”
“Don’t worry, Mom will definitely come to see you and bring you delicious food,” reassured Evelyn, feeling relieved. Lucas was truly more sensible and independent than other children
of the same age.
“You can stay with Grandma,” Lucy said with a joyful smile, having completely let go of the previous uneasiness. “Grandma will take you to the street corner tomorrow to eat soup dumplings. You’ve definitely never had them before!” No matter what, this child was the root of the Shelton family.
Although Ben didn’t show it as explicitly as Lucy, there was also a deep affection for the child in his eyes. “Let Grandma take you,” he said.
“Great!” Lucas immediately flopped onto the sofa, gazing at the ceiling with a silly smile. “I’m so happy! I feel so blessed!”
Having the company of family and the love of elders was more valuable than any number of toys or material possessions.
Evelyn smiled helplessly and shook her head, then looked at her parents. “Mom, Dad, I’ll leave now. Get some rest, and be careful with Lucas’s peach allergy. Let me know if there’s anything.”
“Okay, we won’t send you off. Be safe on your way,” Lucy
walked her to the door and couldn’t help but get teary-eyed. “Don’t forget to come back often. Your dad, I, and Lucas are
all at home.”
After only returning once in so many years, it was difficult to part ways again. Lucy was truly afraid that if Evelyn left, it would be another five years before they saw each other
