After pondering for a long time, she took advantage of the fact that Lucas had gone upstairs to fetch his things and called for Huston in the living room. "I'll take Lucas back later."
"Where are you going?"
"Grace, or my parents' place."
Huston raised his eyebrows. Fortunately, she didn't say that she was going back to Bert. Otherwise, he might have tied her to the bed and prohibited her from going anywhere.
"Didn't you say that Lucas wanted to stay? Why are you in such a hurry?"
She bit her lip and was a little conflicted. "I've been out for so long. It's time to go back. I can't stay with you all the time. Lucas is just playful. He'll be fine after a while."
"Did he tell you this, or did you guess it yourself?" He asked word by word, and she couldn't answer. "Don't think about the child with your own mind. Since it's not difficult, why don't you go against his will?"
"But..."
He wanted to force her to stay, but when he thought of what she had said in the hospital, he held back and suddenly said, "It's not easy to come here. Let's go upstairs and have a look."
