Finding My Baby Daddy (Pandora and Benjamin) novel Chapter 84

Chapter 84

The light from the window brought her out of her dream. She stretched and then rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

“Morning, sweetheart, Benjamin mumbled.

“Morning,” she replied as she moved her head off of his arm. Benjamin started to run his hand through his hair. As she watched him, she could see his mind was going a mile a minute. “Has something happened?” she prompted, and his head snapped quickly around so that he was looking at her.

“What? No,” he responded quickly, but his eyes were filled with guilt.

“Then what is it?” she questioned even softer.

“You are going to be discharged today, Benjamin informed, closing his eyes at the same time.

“But the boys are… They have to stay- she stuttered, cutting herself off. She should have realized that she would be getting sent home before them.

“Love, I don’t want to leave without them either, but we need to.” Benjamin stopped and swallowed. “My dad has a big office here, and we can sleep in that maybe one or two nights, but we couldn’t do it every night until they leave. Besides, we need to get the house ready for them to come home.

Home? Oh God, Benjamin has a home and I have a home… I don’t want to be separated from the boys, not after all of this.‘ Just as she started to feel panicked- another voice deep inside her started to yell. ‘What? Do you think Benjamin does? Stop being selfish! You hate mothers who do that shit.‘

“Love?” Benjamin called, cupping her face and breaking her away from her thoughts.

“You have a home and I have a home. I don’t want to be away from them, and I know it’s unfair to expect you to be,” she sobbed to him. To her surprise, he was able to follow everything she just wailed.

‘Love, do not panic, I am on this; my lawyer is on this.

Her face dropped and she pulled away from him. “You can’t take the boys from me.”

Benjamin gasped and shook his head. “God, no baby! Derrik… your house was sold to more than one family. My lawyer is working on that. So far there are four copies of the deed attempting to be registered.”

Pandora frowned, pulling her brows in and looking down.

‘One of the families has moved in, and they are not making it easy for us to remove them. They agreed to buy the house on contract and paid all of their savings upfront. They are scheduled to pay twelve hundred a month for the next ten years.

“How? Benjamin took a deep breath and bit his lip as if he didn’t want to say the next thing. ‘Benjamin, tell me, howwhat is going on?

He sighed and looked at her sadly. “When you were in the car delivering our boys, the family was moving in. They gave Ron and Keira a lot of problems when they tried to get your belongings because they were under the impression they were being auctioned off. Last night, everyone went over and was allowed to get your things. Due to the fact, they had small children, Milton thought it would be best just to get your things and get out.”

“But it’s my home.

Benjamin nodded before letting out a sigh. “They have a contract that states you agreed to sell it to them. For the time being, they are living there, we would have to go to court. All of your things are no longer there. Our friends got everything out. The family is not bad people, but they have already been harassed by the same man who harassed you, as well as two other families. It appears that this family is the only one who has not fully paid for the house and only put forth a large down payment. All of your things–the boys things, everything from your houseis at my–our- home, you’re staying with me.‘

She rubbed her face, feeling as if it was becoming too much. ‘I’m homeless?”

Benjamin shook his head. “No, you are my wife; we have a home together. And just so you are aware, I, along with my father and Caleb, have joined in with Ron’s plan to kick the ever living shit out of Derrik.
