Chapter 1084 Thank-you gift
The two of them strolled through the luxury store, and Charlotte ultimately chose a pair of low-key yet luxurious cufflinks.
Even though Joe had never worn a suit in front of her, Charlotte inexplicably felt that he would look very handsome in one.
Eva watched as she bought a several-thousand-dollar item without hesitation, and she was shocked by how rich Charlotte was.
After finishing their shopping, Charlotte and Eva hurried to the vicinity of the boys' dormitory.
Although they had only recently started school, Charlotte quickly caught someone's attention.
A handsome young man approached them and asked, "Do you want to find someone in the boys' dormitory?"
Charlotte didn't hesitate at all and replied, "Today, at the back door, Joe helped me out, so I came to give him a thank-you gift."
It turned out to be Charlotte's lucky day, as the person she stopped happened to be Joe's roommate.
The handsome young man thought for a moment and said, "Why don't I take you in? He should be studying in his room, and he's usually the most diligent one."
After some hesitation, Charlotte agreed. She was suspicious that if someone were waiting downstairs to give him a gift, Joe would likely refuse without hesitation.
It was the first day of school, and there were quite a few people coming and going from the dormitory.
Charlotte and Eva walked into the boys' dormitory.
Charlotte hadn't expected him to accept the gift so readily. Then she glanced at Eva.
On the way there, Eva had been telling her all about Joe's various exploits, leading her to believe that he would unhesitatingly kick her out. Everything had gone surprisingly smoothly.
"Yes." Charlotte nodded her head.
Joe softly agreed, "Then I'll walk you out."
Charlotte and Eva were very grateful for this and quickly followed him out of the dorm. After they left, the remaining three people in the dorm looked at each other in disbelief.
They all wondered why Joe treated Charlotte so differently.
