Fled With CEO's Twin Babies novel (Mia and Joe) novel Chapter 387

Chapter 387 He's Destined to Be Disappointed

Joe pretended not to notice her gaze and took her all the way back to his room.

Wesley was a little stunned. "Mr. Smith...?"

"Wait a minute." Joe motioned for her to sit on the sofa while he dialed a number to talk to the other party in H country's language. Not long after, a person who looked like a doctor came to visit.

When he saw Wesley's wound, the other party frowned and said, "This wound is a little deep. You may need stitches."

Wesley turned pale. She glanced at him, bit her lip, and said, "It doesn't matter. I can bear it."

The doctor took out an anesthetic with a strange expression and injected it into her finger.

Wesley was speechless.

Her face instantly turned red. Carefully glancing at Joe, she realized that he wasn't looking at her. Only then did she let out a sigh of relief.

The stitches were quickly completed. The doctor left Joe with a few instructions before leaving in a hurry.

Joe looked at Wesley and said gently, "Don't get your hand wet for the next few days. You can rest in your room."

Wesley quickly shook her head and said, "No need! You don't need to rest. What if it delays your business..."

"And Jack, I don't need an injured employee to work for me." Joe interrupted her disapprovingly.

Although his tone was stiff, it sounded like he was concerned about her. Wesley lowered her head and said softly, "At least let me do something within my ability."
