Chapter 388 Do You Really Not Care At All?
While they were talking, someone suddenly knocked on the door of the room. Jack thought it was Charlotte and quickly opened the door.
Unexpectedly, it was Wesley who was standing at the door. She was holding a bowl of ravioli in her hand and was also surprised to see Jack.
Jack looked at the bowl of dumplings. "This is..."
Wesley smiled shyly and said, "Sorry, Mr. Smith didn't have a good dinner. I just borrowed the kitchen to make those raviolis. I hope he won't mind."
Jack subconsciously looked at her fingers. "Isn't your hand injured?"
Wesley froze and immediately put her hand behind her back. "No, it's nothing serious. I just want to express my gratitude to Mr. Smith."
Jack thought for a moment and let Wesley in.
If it was anyone else, they would probably be moved when they saw that a woman had disregarded her own injuries and specially prepared a thank-you gift, but Joe only frowned. "Thank you. Put it over there."
Wesley was a little stunned. She had thought that Joe would eat it in front of her...
Wesley subconsciously clenched her fists, thinking that the current Joe was completely different from before, as if his vague gentleness just now was her misunderstanding.
"Is there anything else, Miss Wesley?" Jack noticed Joe's impatience and quickly asked.
Only then did Wesley come to her senses. She quickly shook her head and left.
Jack looked at the bowl of dumplings. "This..."
"Throw it away," Joe said coldly.
