Vincent's smile immediately froze on his face. "If someone didn't know better, they'd think you were some sort of gangster talking to me in that tone."
As Vincent complained, he dutifully conducted a thorough examination of Charlotte.
Half an hour later, with a grave expression, Vincent looked at Joe. "She was injected with a new drug with an extremely high purity level. If she were to complete that entire dose... I'm afraid it could ruin her."
After hearing Vincent's words, a surge of violent emotion grew in Joe again. If it weren't for the timing not being right, he would have almost wanted to rush and strangle that woman, Lisa.
Seeing the change in Joe's expression, Vincent quickly shrunk his neck and hurriedly increased the distance between him and Joe. "Can you not always resort to thoughts of killing? Do you really think you're the kingpin of a gang?"
Observing Joe's increasingly unpleasant demeanor, he hastened to explain, "I meant if she were to complete the entire dose! But didn't she withdraw her hand in time? Although it has certain effects on the body, it won't lead to addiction or leave any other lasting consequences. You can rest assured."
Finishing his words, he took a detoxifier from the medicine box and injected it into Charlotte. Then, he methodically packed up his medicine kit and said mysteriously, "She's fine for now, but the situation tonight might not be favorable. So, you must stay by her bedside and fulfill all her requests."
Vincent's words sounded odd, and Joe furrowed his brows as he glanced at him. "If you can't speak, I wouldn't mind tossing you to Africa for a few more years of learning."
Vincent sneered, "Next time, don't urgently ask me to come over like this! I won't cater to you anymore! Not valuing my good intentions..."
After that, he packed up his things and left angrily.
Although Joe didn't fully trust Vincent's character, he had great faith in his medical ethics. Since he said Charlotte was all right, Joe let out a slight sigh of relief.
