A bunch of top designers turned their heads, curiosity piqued.
"Because my boss is coming!" Howell said with a mischievous grin, chuckling softly.
As soon as those words left his lips, the room fell silent for a few seconds before bursting into excited chatter. The only person Howell could be referring to as his boss was none other than the head honcho of Rose's Studio, Rose herself!
"The legend! Boss, are you saying the legend is coming over?"
"No way! The boss is really showing up in person?"
Aside from when they first got hired, most of them had hardly seen the legendary Rose in the flesh. She was like a mythical creature, always working her magic online, tweaking their designs but rarely gracing the studio with her presence.
The buzz about Rose personally coming in to recruit new talent spread like wildfire through Rose's Studio. Howell had everyone spruce up the place from top to bottom. The designers hoping to land a job were giddy at the thought of meeting Rose face-to-face.
"Can you believe our luck? Getting interviewed by Rose herself!"
"Even if I don't get picked, I'm over the moon! Seeing Rose in person is a once-in-a-lifetime chance; I'd die happy!"
Rose was a living legend in the fashion design world—a deity in the eyes of countless designers!
In the crowd, a woman in a khaki coat clutched her coffee, buzzing with excitement. Today was the day she'd get to meet Rose in person!
She was confident—after all, she'd sized up the competition, and none of them could hold a candle to her. At just twenty-four, Du Xiao had already snagged several fashion design competition titles. There was no way Rose wouldn't pick her.
If she played her cards right, who knows, maybe Rose would even take her under her wing!
Ecstatic, she called her sister. "Sis, you won't believe my luck today! Rose is doing the interviews herself! She's been my idol forever, and now I finally get to meet her! I've checked out the competition, and I'm the best here. Rose is definitely going to choose me!"
"Really? That's awesome," her sister replied, sounding a bit half-hearted.
"Are you still upset about that Flora thing, sis?" Du Xiao asked gently. "I mean, Mr. Garcia at the University of Maple Grove is so biased. Flora should be calling you 'teacher' out of respect, right? What's with a teacher having to apologize to a student?"
"Let's drop it," Blake said, her irritation evident. "Just focus on your interview."
"Sis, don't stress. I'll bring you something yummy when I get back," Du Xiao laughed. "Don't let Flora get to you. She's not worth it. Or, should I send someone to give her a little scare to make you feel better?"
