The incident at Florik Entertainment spread to Flora in no time. She listened with a poker face, but a sly smile crept in—was it amusement or annoyance? Who's Lydia to think she can ban Florik from the fashion scene? Bold move.
“Don’t worry, boss. That Lydia doesn’t even qualify for the 'Night of Destiny',” Howell assured over the phone. He could easily bar her with just a word.
“No, let her participate,” Flora replied nonchalantly.
Howell immediately caught on—his boss had some grand plan brewing.
“I’m hanging up now.” Flora ended the call with a lazy drawl, stepped out of the car, and headed towards the University of Maple Grove. Mr. Richard had summoned her, though he was quite the nag.
She knocked on the office door and walked in. “Ah, Flora, you’re here! Come on in!” Mr. Richard greeted her with a wide grin, motioning her inside.
Flora noticed another person in the room—Blake. She stood there, head bowed and shoulders slumped, clearly after a scolding.
“Flora, take a seat here!” Mr. Richard gestured to a small couch, then turned to Blake with a sterner tone, “What are you waiting for?”
Blake clutched her apology letter, her face flushed with embarrassment. Why should an elder apologize to someone younger?
Flora leaned back into the couch, her eyelids barely lifting. She knew why Mr. Richard had called her over.
“Flora, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have posted those things online. I apologize…” Blake closed her eyes, extending the letter with humiliation. “Please forgive me.”
Flora didn’t take it, her calm eyes barely flicking up to meet Blake’s.
Mr. Richard sat quietly—it wasn’t his place to intervene.
Blake’s arms started to ache under Flora’s teasing gaze, her hands trembling.
Finally, Flora took the letter. Blake’s hand stayed in mid-air, then she pulled it back, relieved, thinking this meant forgiveness.
