Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1183

Flora raised an eyebrow, keeping her silence.

“If you don’t start talking, I swear I’ll shoot!” Eula snapped, his finger twitching on the trigger just to scare her. But Flora had him wrapped around her finger by now, so she wasn’t worried in the slightest. In fact, she looked quite relaxed.

Eula was grinding his teeth in frustration. This infuriating woman was keeping him on edge, playing her cards way too close to her chest.

“I’ll help you with your experiment, but you’ve got to promise me something first,” Flora finally said.

“You first,” Eula responded cautiously. Flora had been too calm since she walked in, like she had a whole plan up her sleeve. Who knows what she’d ask for?

“I’ll tell you later,” Flora shrugged, “If you don’t want to agree, then let’s just forget it.”

“Alright, fine, I agree!”

Eventually, Eula couldn’t hold out and gave in.

Flora got up calmly, and Eula handed her a sterile suit. She slipped it on and walked into the operating room. Eula hurried after her!

An older man, well into his fifties, was trailing behind Flora, his eyes practically glued to her. Annoyed by his hair, he tied it up into a little bun.

Flora picked up the instruments and started her experiment, her movements steady and controlled, like a seasoned pro.

Eula watched, captivated, not daring to blink.

“Back off a bit. You’re distracting me,” Flora said, glancing at him without any expression.

“I didn’t say a word!” Eula protested.

“Your presence is enough of a distraction,” Flora replied.

Eula: “…”

“If this experiment fails, don’t blame me,” she added.

Eula stifled his irritation and stepped aside. This infuriating woman better know what she’s doing.

“Go dig into her background,” he instructed the old man quietly once outside. He was impressed by Flora’s talent. He’d heard she was just a regular person from Austenberg with no real connections, which made her all the more appealing to him. But he’d also heard she had ties to Lone Island. Still, he was determined to keep her on the island. She was too confident, though, so he’d have to go through her family to get to her.

“Yes,” the old man nodded respectfully and left. Eula quickly returned to the lab, closely observing every move Flora made, jotting down notes on everything she did differently from him.

He was on the edge of his seat! So close to seeing her succeed where he had failed!

Unable to resist, Eula moved in closer to watch.
