Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1197

Connor was feeling restless, all thanks to her teasing. If they weren't on a plane with Crimson and the others nearby, he might have just made his move on Flora right then and there. Just as things were heating up, a knock on the door cut through the tension. “Flora, were you looking for me?”

It was Jules.

Flora had wanted to ask about some special medicine, so she stopped teasing Connor and got up to leave, not even glancing back. It was like she had lit a fire and walked away without bothering to put it out.

Connor sat up, rubbing his temples as he watched her go. A minute later, he picked up his phone and made a call.

“Got a question for you, come on in.”

A man hurried into the room. He was Dr. Marshall, the new head of the Medical Division, and also the doctor responsible for Connor’s treatment. Noticing Connor’s serious expression, he immediately adopted a cautious demeanor.

Was the boss about to give him an important task?

“Be honest with me, how are my injuries really?” Connor asked in a low voice.

Dr. Marshall looked puzzled. “Boss, your wounds are all dressed up. There's nothing major.”

“What else?” Connor pressed, lowering his voice even more.

Dr. Marshall felt a twinge of anxiety. What else could there be?

“There’s... really nothing else,” he stammered.

“I mean, is there something wrong with me on the inside?” Connor hesitated, his face growing pale.

“Boss, what are you trying to say?” Dr. Marshall was near tears. Was the boss about to give him the boot from Empire Base for some slip-up?

“What I’m getting at is…” Connor took a deep breath, “Will my injuries... affect... you know, bedroom activities?”

His ears turned red. “Am I... lacking in vitality?”

Dr. Marshall was caught off guard, stunned into silence for a moment.

“Boss, your injuries do have some impact on your body,” he finally said.

Connor tensed up.
