Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1196

What was her mother's true identity? And what was the Martial World really like?

“What’s on your mind?” Connor noticed her troubled expression and asked.

“It’s nothing,” Flora replied, shaking her head and snuggling into Connor’s embrace. “Connor, I’m feeling sleepy.”

Those mysteries could be unraveled later. She hadn’t had a decent night’s sleep in days. So tired.

Hearing this, Connor scooped her up and headed towards the helicopter, “Let’s get you some rest.”

Meanwhile, Crimson was still sorting out the chaos back at the medical base.

“Oh no! Moss, my Twitter got suspended!” Beck was nearly in tears; he had sensed something was off earlier, and now his fears were confirmed.

Moss glanced at him, “What’s the issue? Missing out on some eye candy and jokes?”

Beck wasn’t having any of it, “Who are you to judge? What’s wrong with enjoying a bit of fun? It’s only natural. I don’t gamble or get into trouble; can’t a guy appreciate some visuals? Haven’t you ever?”

Seeing Beck genuinely upset, Moss’s demeanor cooled, “I haven’t.”

With that curt reply, he turned and walked away.

...

Inside the helicopter, there was a cozy little compartment for resting. Connor gently laid Flora down on the bed.

“Get some sleep, I’ll stay right here with you.”

“Sleep with me,” Flora insisted, holding onto his neck, not letting go. Connor’s hands rested on her waist. “Connor, you’ve got those panda eyes.”

Connor couldn’t help but laugh, “Alright, let’s nap together.”

Flora scooted over a bit, and Connor kicked off his shoes and shrugged off his jacket, settling beside her.

She was genuinely exhausted and drifted off soon after closing her eyes. Connor listened to her soft breathing, turned his head to watch her, his eyes brimming with warmth. He leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek.
