Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1312

After getting back from Martial World, Connor wasted no time diving into wedding plans with Flora, more eager than anyone else.

When he brought up the wedding, Flora was cool as a cucumber, lounging on the couch with a slice of watermelon. "Marriage, huh? I'm still young. Let's give it a few more years," she said with a lazy grin.

Connor's face froze, eyebrows knitting together in surprise. He clearly hadn't expected Flora to push back.

Henrik chimed in with a chuckle, "I agree. Little sis is still young. She deserves some more fun."

Raul came down the stairs, nodding in agreement, "Yeah, Flora's only just returned to us. I want her to stick around for a bit. We can talk about weddings later."

Sure, Flora was still young. But Connor wasn’t getting any younger. A few more years and he'd be pushing it. He was already five years her senior.

Unable to hold back, Connor gave Flora's sleeve a gentle tug. She blinked up innocently, "What's up, Connor? I'm not done with my watermelon."

Connor, lips pressed into a thin line, picked up a fork, speared a piece of watermelon, and offered it to her. Flora took it with a smile, sneaking a peek at Connor's glum expression. The guy looked downright pitiful, with his eyes downcast and a cloud of gloom hanging over him.

Connor was feeling pretty down. Did she really not want to marry him yet? Was he just being too hasty?

Lost in thought, he barely touched his dinner, his mood in the dumps. Afterward, he silently went to tackle the dishes.
