Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1364

"Hey there, Miss." The manager caught up with Fiona in no time, stopping right in front of her with a respectful nod.

"Did I do well just now?" His eyes were hopeful, like a puppy seeking approval. Louise had always rubbed him the wrong way, constantly throwing shade at Fiona, so he figured it was time to set her straight.

"Nicely done," Fiona chuckled, a playful glint in her eyes. She'd been fed up with Louise's antics for ages.

"By the way, Miss, since you're rarely here, how about checking out the restaurant's accounts in the office?" the manager suggested.

Ray, still single and without kids, had convinced a fifteen-year-old Fiona to sign over some shares, making her wealthier than most could imagine. The Golden Hotel alone was enough to skyrocket her net worth.

"Nah, I'm good," Fiona waved off the idea without a second thought. Numbers and ledgers? Not her thing. Just thinking about it gave her a headache.

"Uncle Zhang, I totally trust you. You keep things running smoothly," she said with a mischievous grin, her small canine tooth peeking through.

Mr. Welch just sighed internally. The Miss sure had her moments of laziness.

As they shared some light-hearted banter, Louise emerged from the restroom, still smarting from her earlier embarrassment. Too ashamed to return to her table, she wandered aimlessly until she stumbled upon Fiona and Mr. Welch's interaction.

Quickly ducking out of sight, she watched them closely. When Mr. Welch reached out and touched Fiona's hair, the gesture seemed a bit too cozy from where Louise stood, suggesting something more than just friendship.

Her grip on the wall tightened. So Fiona and Mr. Welch were chummy? That’s why she was humiliated earlier—it had to be their doing! In her mind, Fiona was probably Mr. Welch’s mistress.
