Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1438

Dr. Wegge was taken aback! The nurses were equally rattled as the man suddenly started coughing up blood. Just moments ago, everything seemed fine. What on earth was happening?

"Dr. Wegge, what's going on?" the nurses asked, panic evident in their voices.

Dr. Wegge quickly pulled herself together, rushing to assess the man's condition. The bleeding was relentless, and for a moment, his heartbeat had vanished!

How could this be possible? He'd been breathing just fine—it shouldn't have come to this!

"I warned you, intubating now would be fatal."

Amidst their confusion, a calm yet firm voice cut through the chaos. Everyone turned instinctively toward the sound.

Leaning casually against the elevator wall was a girl. She wasn't your typical sweet-faced girl; she had a striking beauty that was hard to ignore. Though young, her features hinted at the allure she would grow into. Her mischievous smile, accentuated by a single canine tooth, gave her a resemblance to Flora.

As they watched, Fiona straightened up and casually rubbed her wrist. "Hand me a scalpel."

The nurses were still in a daze.

"Hurry up, or we're going to lose him for real," Fiona said, her impatience showing.

The nurses glanced uncertainly at Dr. Wegge.

Dr. Wegge's face was serious. It was hard to believe that someone as young as Fiona could have such medical prowess, but she had been spot-on earlier.

Tired of waiting, Fiona snatched the scalpel from the tray the nurse was holding. Brushing past the nurse, she made a swift incision five inches below the man's throat.

Blood gushed out instantly, startling everyone.
