Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1439

"This is..."

Their eyes flickered with surprise. "Dr. Rivers, did you handle this case?" They were absolutely floored.

"How did you come up with such a brilliant solution? It's like making a genius move in chess!" an older gentleman marveled. "When we heard you talking about the symptoms over the phone, we were worried you might misdiagnose and go for intubation, which could've suffocated the patient."

They were so concerned, they rushed over immediately.

Dr. Rivers blushed a little, feeling a bit embarrassed. She had indeed tried intubation earlier...

It was that young lady who had saved the patient.

"Dr. Rivers, tell us, how did you pull it off?" A few of the older gentlemen gathered around her, looking at her like she was a hidden gem. They realized they'd underestimated this young doctor before. Her skills were catching up to theirs.

The more they praised her, the more Dr. Rivers felt guilty. She wasn't the one who saved the patient. But she was too shy to admit it, so she just mumbled, "I guess I was just lucky. You don't have to praise me so much."

"You're being too modest. This isn't luck; it's skill! Dr. Shepherd mentioned that the brilliant Dr. Hawke is arriving today, and we'll introduce you to her!" The older gentlemen, who loved nurturing talent, said cheerfully.

"Your talent's always been great. With Dr. Hawke's guidance, your skills will soar to new heights."

Dr. Rivers felt her heart skip a beat. Dr. Shepherd had name-dropped Dr. Hawke in front of them, showing just how much he valued her. If she could make a good impression on Dr. Hawke...

"Thank you for the compliments," Dr. Rivers smiled. "I'm just not that talented. Dr. Hawke might not find me impressive."

She worried they might ask about the surgery details, knowing she wasn't the one who actually did it. Naturally, she wouldn't have any answers.

Luckily, before they could press further, Dr. Shepherd's call came through.
