Facing Fiona's frosty, piercing gaze, the female doctor felt her shoulders tremble, and a bead of cold sweat trickled down her forehead.

"Oh, we go way back," Fiona replied with a smile, locking eyes with the female doctor, whose pleading gaze begged for mercy. Fiona's lips curled, revealing a hint of a playful canine tooth as she crushed her hopes: "That surgery you're all talking about? I was the one who did it."
The room fell silent, everyone taken aback.
What was Fiona implying? That it wasn't the female doctor who saved the day in the elevator, but her?!

Dr. Shepherd's face twitched with anger as he slammed his hand on the table. A doctor can hone their skills over time, and a few shortcomings are forgivable, but integrity is paramount. If this doctor could steal someone else's spotlight, what else was she capable of?
Thinking about how he had just praised her in front of Fiona made Dr. Shepherd's expression darken. He had worked hard to bring Fiona to the hospital, and now they were making a fool of him. Were they trying to scare Fiona away?
