Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1484

Fiona picked up on the hostility in the woman's tone, but she didn't let it ruffle her feathers too much. Considering her age, it wasn't shocking that people doubted her abilities.

However, the woman's outright threat did make her uneasy.

"Suit yourself," Fiona replied coolly, flashing the woman a slight smile.

The director came over, clearly not wanting to let anyone leave without a good reason.

Seeing how eager the director was, the woman snorted and shot a hostile look at Fiona.

"The director claims you've got exceptional medical skills, but we're not just anyone. We can't let some unknown person meddle with my client's health." Her eyes swept the room before landing back on Fiona, her gaze dark and demanding. "Where's your medical license? Let me see it."

They were indeed not your average folks. The man was Allen, a red-hot superstar in the entertainment world with millions of fans.

The woman was his manager and assistant, Christina.

Fiona found the situation a bit amusing. She gestured toward the wall where a certificate hung, framed so nicely that you might miss it if you weren’t really looking.

Christina gritted her teeth, glaring at Fiona as if she was sure this woman would throw a wrench in her plans.

Allen coughed weakly, his frailty evident in the lack of strength behind the cough.

"If I’m seeing things right, the person next to you looks like he's severely sleep-deprived, no matter how much time he spends in bed."

Just as Christina was about to help Allen leave, she froze, spinning back to Fiona in shock.

Her eyes filled with conflicting emotions, and her earlier arrogance disappeared in a flash.
