Shelly's fierce attitude left Amy absolutely speechless. It was the first time Amy had seen Shelly act so impulsively. Despite Shelly normally having a knack for clashing with Fiona, here she was, ready to back her up without a second thought.
"This really isn't like you!" Amy laughed as she ordered their meal. When she checked the school forum again, all the negative comments had disappeared. You couldn't deny it—Shelly was efficient like no other.
After they finished eating and were about to leave, Fiona got a message from Jackson and rushed off. "Classic case of ditching friends for romance!" Amy joked, rolling her eyes as she drove everyone else away.
Fiona flagged down a cab and, once inside, gave the driver the address of a nightclub. He frowned, clearly not happy about the destination. "Miss, what are you doing at a place like that so late?" he asked, peering through the rearview mirror. Even with a mask on, Fiona's striking beauty was hard to miss. "Places like those aren't meant for someone your age. You should be focusing on your studies, not chasing quick cash."
Fiona, lost in her own world with her headphones on, didn't catch a word he said, but her face grew more serious. Suddenly, she heard a voice through her headphones, "Ms. Fiona, the Stonnell family is making big moves lately."
"What?" Fiona muttered, frowning.
The driver, thinking she was responding to him, continued, "At your age, studying should come first. Fast money isn't worth it, and as a young lady, you should respect yourself."
"Alright, I got it," she said absentmindedly.
