Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 678

"They'll never find it in their lifetime," Mr. Atticus scoffed, shaking his head.

If the HJ Special Dose were that easy to get, it wouldn't be called a miracle cure. He'd only heard of it before, and it was thanks to Nina's connection with Elio that he got to see it firsthand.

Sure, Club 257 was powerful, but the miracle cure was exclusively made by the White family on Lone Island. They only issued it in limited amounts to their noble descendants. Club 257 could turn the world upside down and still come up empty-handed.

But he could get it.

He told Elio that Nina needed the miracle cure, and knowing how much Elio doted on his daughter, he'd hand it over without a second thought.

A devious grin spread across Mr. Atticus's face as he realized he could use this to humiliate Flora and boost the prestige of their medical organization.

"Orla, I can’t leave the organization right now. I need you to handle something for me," he said.

"Mr. Atticus, just say the word. I'll get it done!" Orla replied, clenching her small fist with determination.

Mr. Atticus leaned in, whispering instructions into her ear. Orla's eyes sparkled with understanding, and she smiled.

"Don't worry, Mr. Atticus. I'll make sure it's done!"

"Good, I trust you," he nodded, then suddenly remembered something. "How's Selene doing?"

That girl had been locked in the dark cell for days now; her rebellious spirit should have been broken by now.

Orla looked surprised that he mentioned Selene. She ran a hand through her hair, her expression troubled. "Selene... she’s still insisting on leaving the organization, and she swore at you... quite strongly, actually."

Unrepentant!

Mr. Atticus's anger flared. He was eager to see how much longer she could hold out.
