“Besides, who said he’s dying? He’s doing just fine.”

“Fine?” Abbey was flabbergasted. She had checked Karter’s condition—it was dire, practically hopeless. How could Flora claim he was fine? She hadn’t even looked at Karter herself and yet had the audacity to say that!

Under Abbey’s influence, the family was convinced Flora was the villain behind Karter’s predicament, their anger simmering just beneath the surface. Now, seeing Flora again, their rage flared, and they were itching to lash out at her.

“You troublemaker, what are you doing here again?”

“Adrian, what on earth are you thinking, bringing her here? Do you think your dad would be in this state if it weren't for her?”

Spurred on by Abbey’s words, the relatives, filled with hatred for Flora, were ready to drive her out.

“Get out, now!!!”
