Just then, his phone buzzed on the table. It was Adrian calling.

"Adrian, what's up? Flora? Yeah, she's here with me. What's going on... Hello?!"

"What was that about?" Amanda asked.

"No clue," Kruz said, still puzzled. "Adrian just called, asked where Flora was like it was urgent, and then hung up."

Flora raised an eyebrow slightly. She had a pretty good idea of what was happening. But she didn't expect Karter to get into trouble so soon. It was supposed to be later tonight.

Fifteen minutes later, Adrian came bursting into the Falcone house, first words out of his mouth were a plea.

"Flora, please, you gotta help my dad!"

Just half an hour earlier, Karter had suddenly fallen into a coma, and even Abbey was at a loss.

"Flora, please, help my dad..." Adrian begged, his eyes shimmering with tears, a grown man on the verge of breaking down.

"Let me finish my dinner first," Flora said coolly, taking another bite of her food. She knew Karter's condition wasn't life-threatening—he just needed to endure some hardship.

"Flora!" Adrian was on edge. At a time like this, she was still eating. Guess he really did tick her off earlier.

Flora stayed unfazed, and Connor even handed her a glass of water, "Take your time, don't choke."
