In the lively film city, Cecelia sat in the back of the minivan, eyes glued to her phone, her mind wandering.
"Hey, what's up?" Diego, her agent, gently nudged her shoulder. "We’re here. You need to nail this audition, alright? It’s a big deal; everyone’s vying for a spot."
"Yeah, yeah, I got it." Cecelia waved him off, turning off her phone and sliding it into her pocket.
"Are you feeling okay? You seem a bit off lately. Is it exhaustion?"
"I'm good, honestly."
Cecelia gave a carefree laugh and hopped out of the van with ease.
"What are you doing here?"
A sharp voice cut through the air. Cecelia turned and saw Aisha standing there.
"Well, well, look who it is."
Cecelia let out a low whistle.
What are the odds?
"Auditioning, too?" Aisha eyed her up and down.
After Aisha's recent scandal got her blacklisted by Rose's team, leaving her in a slump, Cecelia seemed to have luck on her side, climbing her way to the top.
Cecelia just nodded, her thoughts elsewhere, not really in the mood to chat.
"Come on, let's move," Aisha's agent urged, pulling her along. "Cecelia's got Mr. Raul from Florik Entertainment backing her, and his sister is Flora, the global champ. Their family is not one to mess with."
Aisha's mood darkened at this.
"Relax, the role's in the bag for you. I've got pull with the director; he's already on board to pick you," her agent assured her.
That seemed to calm Aisha down a bit.
Inside, a group of directors gathered, breaking into smiles as Aisha walked in: "Ah, Aisha, welcome."
