Follow Me novel Chapter 34

Cohen raised his eyebrows and whispered in a lower voice to remind, "Do a psychological profile first, there is no rush for anything else."

Julian took off his glasses and rubbed his brows. He then went over and sat next to Sadie.

The restaurant was quiet. On non-weekends, only five tables of guests would be welcomed, and it would not accept more than that. Five more tables of guest would be added on weekends.

Compared to the text description in the magazine, the scene there was more realistic and quieter.

After the waiter poured some tea, Sadie leaned back in her chair, clasped her hands defensively and turned her head to look out the window.

The back of the restaurant had several tall French trees. In this season, the leaves had not yet fallen. The sunlight sifted down from among the branches, the ground was dappled with light and shadow everywhere, and the air was permeated with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

When dining in a good atmosphere like this, the cost was naturally high, but for Julian, it was certainly not a problem.

"Sadie?" Cohen greeted with a smile and reached out to push a plate of dessert over. "Eat the dessert first, the mango puff pastry from PH Restaurant has a nice flavour."

Sadie forced out a smile, but her hand didn't move.

"Don't you like it? Do you want something else, I'll accompany you to pick one." After Cohen said that, he stood up and made a motion of invitation.

Sadie didn't want to hurt Cohen's pride, so she pursed her lips and stood up reluctantly.

The table where the desserts were placed was in the middle of the restaurant, Sadie followed him and heard a soft and shallow laugh coming from his mouth in her ears. "How did you meet that shady-looking guy?"

Shady-looking? Sadie looked back at Julian and saw that he seemed to be still reading the document, and suddenly she wanted to laugh.

Was this person really his good friend, the description he used was so precise.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it." Cohen lowered his voice, and he had a intend to laugh. "I'm telling you, he's a pervert."

"Is that so," Sadie asked a rhetorical question, the look on her face eased a lot.

Julian was more than a pervert. He also had fetishes.

Cohen observed her reaction and subtly changed the topic. "You seem to dislike him a lot."

"Does it look so obvious," Sadie asked without thinking and regretted instantly.

When they got off the bus, Julian said that Cohen was his best friend. If she said the wrong thing and Cohen went to tell Julian, she would be in trouble.

After that, Sadie had more alert, and her attitude was calmer when talking to Cohen.

After choosing what to eat, Cohen excused himself to talk on the phone. He didn't go back with Sadie.

Sadie politely noted at him and dawdled back.

After Sadie sat down, Julian's hand unexpectedly reached over and held her hand. "Did you find anything you like?"

Sadie struggled and found that he was incredibly strong and had to give up. "I picked two kinds."

When she said that, the waiter delivered the dessert at the same moment.

Julian lowered his head to take a look and picked up a high temperature sterilized towel and carefully helped her wipe her hands.

When doing this, Julian slightly lowered his head, and he had a concentrated look.

Sadie raised her eyes and looked over. She could see his long, thick eyelashes and straight nose.

His skin was not that fair, but it was not dirty either, it was clean, just like the scent coming out of him, crisp and elegant.

"It's okay, I'll eat anything." Sadie was surprised by his solemn and serious appearance and hurriedly waved her hand.

Cohen was an actual gentleman. Although she did not like the way he looked at her, Sadie still felt that if she could choose, she would rather be friends with Cohen, rather than deal with Julian.

After the dishes were served, everyone exchanged pleasantries and started to eat.

It was unclear whether it was because the restaurant environment was too good or Cohen was too chatty, Sadie was utterly relaxed, and she was amused by him from time to time.

Julian was pissed. He lifted his foot and kicked Cohen hard under the table.

Cohen felt pain and frowned.

Julian acted like nothing happened and wiped his mouth with a tissue, "Let's end this. She has a class this afternoon."

"Sadie, give me your phone number, it just so happens that I have to go to the Communication University in the afternoon to do something. I will be looking for you to show me the way." Cohen showed an impeccable smile and picked up the phone that was on the table. "Julian won't mind."

Sadie didn't even listen to what else he had to say, she picked up the phone and asked him for the number with a smile.

Cohen said it once, and after a while, a call came in on his phone. He raised the corner of his lips, in front of Julian, and saved the number as, "Julian's girl."

Julian was satisfied and withdrew his gaze. After that, he held Sadie's hand and stood up. "See you soon."

The corners of Cohen's mouth twitched, and he stayed away from Julian. His feet were definitely bruised. He brought her himself, but also was full of jealousy. What was the point!

Julian unlocked the car door while going downstairs, he let Sadie get into the car first, and unhurriedly turned towards Cohen. "I hope that you will be able to give me an accurate answer tonight."

Cohen lowered his face and looked at Sadie, who was on the car. He said in a low voice, "The situation does not seem good, you have to be mentally prepared."
