From Divorce To Dominance novel Chapter 22

Chapter 22
“Yeah, Natalie sighed, feeling drained.
Now it made sense why she’d been acting so weird lately. Darren snorted, “But let me tell you, don’t bother! I’m not marrying you again.”
“Yeali
“You better drop those plans to mess up my wedding! Or else you’ll be sorry!”
“Yeah. Are we done?” Natalie packed her makeup bag. “I’m leaving now. Mr. Luther, you didn’t really follow me to the ladies’ room just for some privacy, did you?” She winked playfully and held out her hand. “After you-don’t hold it in!”
Darren’s expression turned serious at that and he changed the subject. “Hold on. You still need to explain about that sugar daddy.” He’d overheard the earlier chat between two ladies.
There was no way Natalie had that much cash; with her flashy lifestyle, it was clear she was having a sugar daddy. “I can’t believe you’ve sunk this low. No wonder you won’t leave Greton, he said, disgust clear in his voice. “So who’s this sugar daddy!” Even though he didn’t care about her, the idea of her being someone else’s mistress bothered him.
A sly smile appeared on Natalie’s face. “My grandpa lived to be 120. Wanna know why?”
She was clearly dodging his question, but Darren blurted out, “Why?”
“Because he didn’t meddle in other people’s affairs.”
Darren was at a loss for words
“Mr. Luther, what I mean is I’m done with you. From now on, mind your own business. If you keep bothering me, does that mean you have feelings for me?”
“No way!” Darren laughed. “Don’t get ahead of yourself. There’s no way I’d ever like you.”
“Well, good! Just remember what you said. Please don’t fall for me; I wouldn’t know how to handle it.”
Darren narrowed his eyes as he watched her walk away. He thought that she was trying to tease him and said that on purpose.
Scoffing, he shook his head and pulled out his phone as he headed toward the exit. He called Tony. “Delete the surveillance footage from the second-floor bathroom.”
Soon after, Vivian stepped out of the stairwell. Her eyes were filled with anger. The person who heen with Darren in the stall was none other than Natalie. She was desperate to know their relationship. She had worked so hard to get to this point -she was finally about to marry Darren and wouldn’t let anyone ruin her happiness.
Natalie returned to the live-streaming studio right as the performances were wrapping up. Besides those who were eliminated, sixty contestants had successfully been ranked.
Vivian announced what would happen next: the contestants needed to form teams. The six members of Group A would select teammates based on their rankings.
The contestant who ranked first in this audition
was Alice. As a member of a girl group and super talented, she led by a huge margin and quickly formed her team. After two more picks, it was Tessa’s turn.
Natalie looked up. She had already figured out that the two in the bathroom were Tessa and Chloe But she didn’t know what

they meant when they said she had a sugar daddy.
Tessa picked Chloe first. They quickly chose contestants based on rankings until their team was complete.
Actually, Natalie was ranked C, which wasn’t too low. But when others started picking teammates, everyone suddenly preferred contestants from Group D over her.
First, not many could match her looks. Second, it was because of her performance. Picking her meant they’d just be in the background. No one was dumb, so Natalie ended up getting left out along with the other unselected members, automatically joining Group Six.
The leader of Group Six was pretty average-looking, dressed in a plain white T-shirt and black pants. She had sharp features and a clean, short haircut.
Natalie remembered that she had sung a love song and had a decent voice, but she didn’t catch her name. Natalie glanced at her name tag: Susan
“Alright, teams are set. Now, can each team leader come forward to draw lots for the song for the next performance?” Vivian
ordered.
In front of the stage was a big box. The six team leaders took turns approaching it. Since this was a team competition, it was likely that two groups would end up with the same song. Natalie’s team, by sheer bad luck, ended up picking the same song as Tessa’s group. The strength difference between the two groups was obvious, and most members of Group Six looked disappointed.
Seeing this, Chloe couldn’t resist gloating to Tessa. “This time, her group is full of misfits and leftovers; they definitely can’t compete with us,”
Tessa
was thinking the same thing. In Group Six, apart from their leader Susan being somewhat capable, the rest didn’t seem to stand a chance. Even though Natalie could dance, this time, they were dead meat. They had to show off high notes. dance moves, and choreography. Tessa was multi-talented, but Natalie was not.
Meanwhile, Vivian couldn’t help but grin when she saw Natalie join Group Six. When she noticed that Natalie drew the same song as Tessa, her mood got even better. Looked like she wouldn’t have to do anything, someone else would make Natalie unpopular for her.
Her main focus now was to win Darren’s heart. It was funny that they’d been together for so long, but he hadn’t even touched her. No matter how much she hinted for him to stay over, he always said he wanted to save that special moment for their wedding night.
Those words had once touched her, but now she was tired of waiting. She needed to lock down her position as the future Mrs. Luther. If she got pregnant with his child, Henry wouldn’t dare push her away.
r and their eyes met. She Vivian’s thoughts wandered as she eagerly looked towards the VIP area. Darren seemed to notic quickly gave him her sweetest, most charming smile. After a moment of surprise, Darren nodded slightly toward her.
This moment was caught on the live stream, and viewers online started buzzing with excitement.

[Don’t be bitter just because you can’t have Darren. If he doesn’t like Vivian, does he like you!]
[I’m dying! So Darren doesn’t like Vivian, which is why he’s supporting her and wants to marry her.]

Vivian read all these comments with tight lips. A flash of annoyance crossed her face, fueling her determination to have Darren’s child even more.
