Chapter 12 Expelled from home, homeless
As Claire Bennett thinks, behind her is the sound of a big iron gate creaking, and she turns back and sees Jade Patton, who is directing the servants to shut down the big iron gate and lock it.
Claire Bennett is startled and immediately shouts, "Jade Patton, what are you doing? "
Jade sneers, "Claire Bennett, you are abandoned by your husband on the first day of marriage, is it your intention to piss off your father? I tell you, get down your knees, climb back to the Howard family for your father! "
Just say so, Jade Patton turns and takes the servants into the villa, ignoring Claire Bennett! Well, she signed an agreement with the Howard family. If Claire has been kicked off at the first day. Who is going to pay for her loss?
"You--" Claire Bennett is so angry that she stares angrily at the back of Jade Patton's departure.
What will she do now? !
She is homeless...
She can’t go back to Bennett’s house and she doesn’t want to. And the new house... with Leo Howard, she also doesn’t want to go back...
She does not know where her dad is or what is going on... Claire Bennett walks thoughtfully and aimlessly down the road.
Not knowing how long she has been walked, perhaps because of her thoughts, Claire Bennett looks up and sees a figure that resembles her father, and she is startled to see that that figure has entered the crowd before she could respond.
"Dad, Dad... "Claire Bennett hurries up, trying to catch up with the man, but there are too many people, and she loses him.
With a sigh of disappointment, the figure reappears, and Claire Bennett sees him walk into a bar nearby.
Claire Bennett knows that it is a very dangerous place, and after a walk at the door, she thinks that the man in it might really be her father, she walks in without hesitation.
As soon as she enters the bar, she hears the roar of heavy metal music. The dance floor is filled with countless men and women who dressed in trendy clothes, twisting their bodies in succession, with a hint of madness.
Claire Bennett ignores that. She looks around, trying to find her father's figure, but carelessly she bumps into a man.

The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
