Now Conan just wants his dad. He really wants to hear Conan call him daddy.
He doesn’t expect that what he says about daddy isn’t about him.
He wants to revenge Leo even more. He’s going to destroy Leo as soon as possible. In this way, Claire and Conan will return to him without hesitation. The three of them will return to their happy and carefree days in France.
Juan’s anger is about to explode. When he hears Conan insist on calling Leo and Claire is speechless, he opens the door of the room and walks in.
He sees Claire crouching in front of Conan and holding his hand. She tries to give him an excuse.
Juan smiles and says to Conan, “Conan, I am back.”
He opens his arms and is ready for Conan to pounce on him.
In the past, when Juan came back and made this gesture, Conan would rush forward happily and jump into Juan's arms.
However, just now they had a quarrel about Leo. Although Conan keeps his head, he still forces Claire to make a decision. Juan comes in at this time. He just helps Claire.
Conan is helpless, but he still respects Juan. He laughs and says to him, “godfather, you are back at last.”
But he doesn’t rush over as cheerfully as usual.
“...”
Juan keeps his arms open. Conan doesn’t jump on him so he is embarrassed.
His psychological quality has been good for so many years. Even though Juan is in an awkward situation, he keeps smiling happily. He walks up to Conan and holds him in his arms and asks, “Conan, did you have lunch? I come back specially to have lunch with your mommy. Do you want to eat out or at home?”
“At home. It’s not good to eat out many times.” Conan says, frowning.
Conan lets go of his frustration and keeps himself in a rational state. At the same time, he decides to take a chance to ask Claire again.
“Well, I’ve got the servants cooking. When I returned home, I bought you a set of very suitable gifts. Would you like to see it with me?” Juan gets up and picks up Conan. He asks him with a smile.
When Conan hears of the gift, his depression disappears. He looks at Juan excitedly and says, “yes, godfather, I want to see the gift you give me!”
Everything Juan gives him is to his taste, so Conan is so happy.
“Let’s go. It’s in my study.”
“Oh yeah! Godfather is the best!” Conan shouts happily.
Claire is relieved to see Juan holding Conan and leaving. She doesn’t have to think of a way to convince Conan. Sometimes it’s a sin to have a son with a high IQ. His IQ is higher than yours, so it’s hard for you to lie.

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
