The woman wasted no time sending over the video.
In the surveillance footage, the guy buying the necklace was crystal clear. Chris instantly recognized him as John, Joshua's right-hand man.
So, he really had been duped! Joshua dumped Allison just to keep her safe from this mess.
Chris sat back on the couch, his eyes cold and threatening. The glass tumbler shattered in his grip.
"Well, isn't this interesting," Chris muttered, his hand bleeding from the shards, yet a twisted smile played on his lips. He whispered to himself, "Joshua, you love her so much. Would you really trade your life for hers?"
...
"What did you just say? They've kidnapped Allison?" Zach's voice was tense, and his forehead veins throbbed in anger and fear.
In sharp contrast, Lillian was as cool as a cucumber. She lounged on the sofa with a sly smile, clearly enjoying the moment.
"That's right," Lillian replied with a grin, locking eyes with Zach. "When I first learned my brother broke up with her to protect her, I wished she'd just vanish. Now it looks like I'm getting my wish. With Chris, Allison doesn't stand a chance."
Zach's eyes flared with fury, and in a burst of anger, he lunged at Lillian, grabbing her by the collar and hauling her up.
"You promised me our deal was just to break up Allison and Joshua. You swore you wouldn't hurt Allie!" he shouted, his voice raw with anger.
Before Lillian could reply, the nearby bodyguards sprang into action, pulling her away and taking on Zach.
The Fisher family's bodyguards were pros, and Zach was outmatched. He was quickly taken down.
