“Cat got your tongue? Let’s see if we can change that,” Chris said, his smile as sharp as broken glass.
Allison was shaking, her voice barely a whisper, “No… please…”
“No?” Chris’s grin twisted into something sinister, sending a chill straight through her. “Too late for that.”
“I told Joshua to come alone to trade himself for you, but I never promised not to do anything to you.”
Chris loomed over Allison, looking down at her with a mix of arrogance and disdain, like she was just some bug he could squash anytime.
“You’ve got the looks, sure, but you’re just Joshua’s leftovers. I can’t stand picking up after someone else's scraps,” Chris sneered, his words cutting like a knife.
Allison dropped her gaze, trying to hide the fury burning in her eyes.
“Well,” Chris said with a smirk, “looks like my guys will have to enjoy your company instead.”
His words sent a jolt of excitement through his crew, who were barely keeping their anticipation in check. She was stunning, and they’d been eyeing her since she showed up. Now, with the boss’s go-ahead, they looked at Allison with raw, undisguised desire.
Liam stood to the side, his eyes on the ground, not wanting to witness what was about to unfold. He wasn’t into this kind of thing, but he couldn’t help the flicker of sympathy he felt for her.
Chris usually treated women with a certain charm; his mistresses lived the high life. But because Allison was Joshua’s, Chris was taking out his grudge on her. Honestly, Liam had never seen Chris be this cruel to a woman before.
