On her way to the hospital, Allison called Sabrina and Olivia back, reassuring them there was no need to worry.
After she arrived at the hotel and caught up with Breanna, it was time for dinner.
Allison checked her watch and suggested, “How about we grab some dinner?”
“Sounds good to me.”
“What are you in the mood for?”
Breanna smiled, “I'm easy, anything works.”
“Alright, let’s see what restaurants are around here.”
Post-dinner, Allison advised, “You should start the usual process and apply for interviews at the law firms.”
“Sure thing.”
“Have you found a place to stay yet?” Allison inquired, referring to Breanna’s search for an apartment.
Breanna responded, “Not yet.”
Allison nodded, “I’ll help you find something later.”
Breanna quickly waved it off, “No need to bother yourself, Allison. I can handle it.”
“You don’t have to be so formal with me. You’re new to Oak Lake, and I’d hate for you to get ripped off.”
“Well...” Breanna hesitated, “If you’re offering, I’d appreciate the help.”
“It’s no trouble at all.” Allison checked the time, “I’ll drop you back at the hotel. I've got something to take care of afterward.”
“Alright.”
...
After dropping Breanna off, Allison headed straight to Reynolds Group.
It was 5:30 PM, and employees at Reynolds Group were still at work. Shawn was likely in the office.
Just as she parked outside the building, her phone rang with an unfamiliar number.
