Chapter 293 What Are You Trying to Do?
Suddenly, her phone rang. Samara looked down at the phone in her hand. It was a call from the online taxi driver.
Samara withdrew her sight and pressed the answer button. As she answered the phone, she walked out. “Hello.”
“Ms. Novak? I am already at River Park. Where are you now?”
“Okay, I’ll be right there.”
After Samara finished speaking, she hung up the phone and quickened her pace toward the park.
It was about 300 feet away from the square. Samara was too embarrassed to make the driver wait there for so long, so she walked faster and faster.
However, before she could take a few steps, the hand holding the phone was suddenly pulled by the person behind her. Samara subconsciously released the hand holding the bag and pulled away the person’s wrist.
After distancing herself from the person, Samara realized that it was Chaim.
Samara frowned and said, “Chaim, what are you trying to do?”
“Samara, you’ve been in love with me for so many years. Can you say that you don’t love me now?”
Chaim was still holding Samara’s wrist, not letting her leave.
After Samara heard Chaim’s words, Samara’s face darkened. In an instant, she was like a hedgehog that had suddenly been attacked, all the thorns on whose body stood up and fiercely stabbed at Chaim. Samara said, “You are right! After loving you for a long time, I find it hard to stop loving you. I can’t control my heart, but I can control my actions. I can make myself stop being cheap.”
“What if I tell you that I also like you, Samara?”
It never occurred to Samara that one day she would hear from Chaim that he liked her.
Samara thought, it’s so funny! We have been divorced for almost a year. Chaim told me that he also liked me.
This is not a soap opera!
Samara quickly recovered from her shock. She struggled to free herself from Chaim’s imprisonment, took her bag, and ran away without looking back.
Soon, Samara saw the taxi she called online.
Samara seemed to have seen a reinforcement. She opened the door and got in the car. “Sir, please drive. Hurry up, thank you.”
After Samara finished speaking, she turned her head and looked out of the car window. Chaim was catching up, but he could not catch up with her.
Samara thought, we have been divorced for more than a year! He suddenly told me that he liked me!
How ridiculous!
However, why do I feel uncomfortable about such a ridiculous thing?
It seems that the fact that I ever loved him for more than 10 years suddenly becomes more ridiculous.
