The little one pushed and struggled in her scumbag dad's arms, kicking her legs to break free. "Let me go!" she demanded.

Elliot furrowed his brow, confused by the sudden change in the girl's attitude towards him. Had he done something wrong? Sean looked up at his dad with a face full of anger and resentment. He wanted to tell him that he didn't need him anymore - not after abandoning them five years ago.

But as much as Sean hated his father, there was still a hint of sadness in his eyes that even he couldn't recognize.

Elliot felt a complex mix of emotions rising within him. Something was definitely off with this child today - was she sick? He opened his mouth to ask when suddenly Sean kicked hard enough to wriggle out of Elliot's grasp and fall out of his embrace.

Rose had just finished setting down the lunch box. When she turned around and saw what happened, her pupils shrank and she rushed over to scoop up the little one before she hit the ground.

"Are you okay?" Rose asked worriedly.

"I'm fine," Sean replied obediently, feeling comforted by her concern for him.

But then something strange happened: Rose put Sean down on the couch before standing up quickly and slapping Elliot across the face!

The sound echoed through the office, making everyone freeze in shock. The assistant standing nearby couldn't believe what he had just witnessed - someone dared slap Mr. Harper?

Elliot glared at Rose dangerously once he regained composure, "You stupid woman! Do you even know what you're doing?"

The assistant beside them heard these words and became even more frightened. His face clearly displayed panic. Serena actually dared to lay hands on Mr. Harper. He couldn't imagine what consequences Serena would bear.

Looking at Rose, however, there was not a trace of fear on her face.

She glared angrily at the man standing in front of her, her tone full of accusation.

"Even if you don't like the child, you shouldn't harm her like that! You deliberately threw her to the ground? How can you vent your anger on such a little girl?"

And Sean was already stunned in place, staring blankly at his mommy who was venting her anger at her scumbag dad.
