Harvey York's Rise to Power novel Chapter 247

Jamie smiled and left the hall. Soon, he reached Kane’s office.

Kane was the heir of the Brookes in Niumhi, and he was also the biological son of the master of the Brookes.

He was a young man in his thirties. He was rather handsome, but he looked slightly pale and sickly. The Brookes had influence in both evil and righteous sides. Although they didn’t have much influence among the gangsters, nobody dared to offend them because of Liam.

However, they were not very well informed. During the past few days, Liam had become Tyson’s subordinate. The Brookes knew nothing of that.

“Uncle.” Jamie entered the office and said respectfully.

“Here you are.” Kane was playing with his female secretary's exquisite face at that moment. He smiled.

He treated his nephew rather kindly. It was because his nephew knew how to please him.

Kane valued a person like Jamie highly, since Jamie could even be quite cruel toward his own people.

At that moment, he gestured to his female secretary, asking her to leave. He then smiled and asked, “Well, well. You even know that you have to come and pay me a visit.”

“Uncle, you’re being quite cordial. Since I’m here in the Hot Spring Villa, the first thing I need to do is to come and meet you.” Jamie said respectfully.

“Alright. Does your wife like that car? If she likes that, I’ll give the car to her then. If you’re free, just remember to ask her to do it again…” Kane smiled wickedly and gave Jamie a hint.

Jamie was filled with surprise. ‘If I drug my wife again, I’ll be able to get a Ferrari. Is that so? It's not a loss at all!’

“Uncle, if you really want to, go to my place and have a drink some day. I’ll arrange for it!” Jamie patted his chest. “If Nia knows that you’re so nice toward her, she’ll definitely be quite grateful toward you.”

“We’re a family. We don’t have to be so polite toward each other. When I become the master of the family, I’ll let you manage this Hot Spring Villa.” Kane said, smiling.

The profits of the Hot Spring Villa were extremely high. Its profit for each month was around a few ten thousand dollars. If Jamie had the chance to manage it, he would never have to worry about money anymore.
