Amber is Jealous
(Third–person’s POV)
Two months had passed since Shannon Miles‘ magazine shoot. The November issue of “Moon” magazine was released on the first day of November.
This was Shannon’s comeback magazine in the supernatural entertainment industry. Fans rushed to like the photos while rivals swarmed to find flaws.
They couldn’t find any fault with Amber’s photography work. The photos showcased Shannon’s ethereal beauty perfectly.
The magazine’s official account posted twelve photos. Each one maximized Shannon’s charm and unique beauty that transcended typical werewolf model aesthetics.
The light construction and visual impact refreshed the supernatural community. The most amazing aspect was the subtle gaze captured in each shot.
Looking down represented reality and hesitation. Looking up symbolized growth and transformation. Looking back showed calmness after experiencing pack politics.
Viewers thought of Sophia Winters‘ “Luna” cover from years past. She was selected by a famous director based on just a few photos.
Sophia had wild, natural beauty appealing to alphas. Shannon’s was refined and urban, appealing to broader supernatural demographics.
They represented different feelings, but viewers sensed the same artist photographed both. The storytelling sense was strong
and the artistic core consistent.
Everyone checked the photographer’s name: Amber Chase from Moonlight Photography. The post specifically mentioned Amber to direct attention to her growing reputation.
Moonlight Photography was criticized two months ago when Shannon’s fans questioned why an unknown photographer got prestigious assignments. But now, some pack members asked if both shoots were by the same photographer.
Impatient werewolves messaged Sophia directly, asking if the mysterious photographer was Amber Chase.
Sophia didn’t reply but forwarded Moonlight Photography’s promotional post with clapping emojis.
It said everything without saying anything. This indirectly confirmed Amber had collaborated on Sophia’s previous shoot.
Those who weren’t optimistic about Shannon’s comeback were proven wrong. Fans grew happier while detractors couldn’t sit still and determined to dig up negative information about Amber.
Shannon’s rivals asked PR teams to set negative narratives while agents quickly contacted Moonlight Photography for
collaborations.
At five o’clock, “Amber Chase, incredible!” rushed to the top of supernatural social media trending topics.
Back at Moonlight Photography, Amber and Liam sat in Paige’s office. Paige’s phone hadn’t stopped ringing since the trending topic appeared.
Most callers were from the supernatural entertainment industry who had offered collaborations before. Last time, they offered cooperation but not premium projects when Amber was criticized.
Now Amber’s reputation completely reversed. She was recognized as the talented photographer who helped launch Soph
career.
Callers wanted to renegotiate collaborations with significantly better projects and improved compensation. Paige handled negotiations with practiced skill, neither agreeing nor rejecting completely.
Liam stared at the trending topic, glancing at Paige. Seeing her empty teacup, he leaned over to refill her moonlight herb tea.
Amber ate flaky pastries from the werewolf bakery next door while messaging Dominic through their mate bond. A call came from a strange number.
“Amber Chase.” Hearing this voice, Amber was stunned.
“Sophia Winters?” Paige looked toward Amber with concern, knowing Sophia’s complicated history with Ethan.
Amber muted another incoming call and set the phone aside. Sophia’s voice sounded anxious.
“Amber, I’m at the police station. Something happened. Can you come pick me up?”
Amber waited for Sophia to explain. Sophia’s film wrapped yesterday and she had a brand event in Silvercrest tomorrow, so she came early.
She was robbed at the airport and was dealing with the incident at the police station. Sophia had no other friends in Silvercrest.
The man she mentioned before was mated to someone else, so she couldn’t contact him. She thought of Amber despite their complicated history.
“Where’s your manager? Your assistants?” Amber asked.
“They can’t get here until tomorrow morning. I came early for personal matters.”
When Amber heard she just needed to escort Sophia back safely, she agreed. “Okay, wait twenty minutes.”
“Are you really going to pick her up?” Paige leaned close, clearly concerned.
“Aren’t you having dinner with Dominic tonight? It’s past five o’clock. You shouldn’t go pick up Sophia.”
Amber finished her pastry as Dominic replied through their bond.
“My talented mate is trending again. There will be a special reward tonight.”
“I’m leaving the office now. I’ll pick you up in twenty minutes.”
Amber responded: “Perfect timing.”
“I’m not going personally,” Amber said. “I still have nightmares about the last time she invited me to dinner. But I can’t ignore this – Dominic oversees some of her contracts through Shadowpeak.”
Amber pointed at Liam. “You take Liam over there. I won’t go. You pick her up and escort her to her hotel.”
Paige wanted to meet this Sophia who’d caused so much drama. “Okay, you can go to dinner with peace of mind
The dinner with Oliver Hunter was scheduled for six o’clock. Dominic picked her up at 5:30 in his sleek black vehicle.
Amber was absent–minded during the drive, feeling restless. Dominic noticed her distraction.
After parking, he told the driver to wait outside. In privacy, he pulled Amber onto his lap and kissed her face gently.
“Did I upset you about something?”
“No.” Dominic’s blue eyes searched her face. “Then why were you so quiet? Did I do something wrong?”
Amber played with his strong fingers. “There’s a question I’ve been wanting to ask you.”
“Ask me anything.”
“Before we became mates, why didn’t you take a mate until thirty–two? Didn’t you have someone you loved before?”
Dominic was silent. “Do you really want to know?”
