Heart Hunting novel Chapter 143

Kenny seemed to take note that her mind was drifting, he let go of her lips and muttered a demand. “Focus.”

She reflected, wrapped her arms around his neck, wet his lips with her kiss. Kenny cradled her at the waist and held the back of her head with his hand. Poppy felt secure in those strong arms of Kenny’s. Kenny soon took dominance, their tongues tangling fiercely.

Their passion was so fervent that it seemed to set the air around them afire, sparks crackling. Slowing, Kenny moved his lips away from Poppy’s and all the way down to her lady garden. Right at that moment, he pressed her body on the bed.

For long had he been waiting for this moment, and now he finally seized it.

Lying beside Poppy after they were done, Kenny felt fulfilled and a little surprised.

Poppy was still a virgin before he took her, he would’ve never believed that.

This is the best moment of my life, Kenny thought as he stared at the girl lying asleep beside him. He wished he could just be with her forever.

Everything was put back on track then, Poppy resumed the work.

A few days later, Poppy had an unwelcome guest, Bryant Green.

Poppy ignored him though she had let him in. Bryant was embarrassed.

“Poppy,” finally, he started, “That thing I talked to you about…”

“I gave you my terms. I’ll hold my promise, you’ll have nothing from me without divorcing.” She said expressionlessly.

Bryant left without uttering another sound.

He went back to the company and made an outrageous decision after a review of account books of the company.

I’m going to sink or swim. He decided. He’s going to take all the money and flee out of the border with Susan. And he would be free of the debts by then.

Susan agreed when he told her about his plan, but she called Poppy immediately when she’s sure that Bryant was out of earshot.

Poppy sneered at the news and told Susan to do whatever Bryant asked.

He’s stepping into her trap now.

Bryant trusted Susan blindly and transferred all the money to her account.

Then under Poppy’s arrangement, Susan flew out of the city and was off Bryant’s radar. His embezzlement burdened him with a huge debt and all the shareholders were trying to find out where he was.

Desperate, he resorted to Poppy at the end.

Poppy was surprised to see his face. “You’re still alive, I thought the creditors have killed you.”

“What do you mean?”

“You got a mistress call Susan, right? You know what, she’s my man.” Poppy smiled delightedly.

“What? She…”

“No worries. She’s somewhere in a foreign country enjoying her life with your ten billion.

“Poppy Green, you…” struck, Bryant could not accept the truth and then passed out.

Poppy demanded servants to throw him out.

Eventually, she avenged her mom. You could rest in peace now, mom, she prayed.
