Heart Stolen by A Heartless Man novel Chapter 42

Hattie was stunned for a long time, not knowing what to say. After a long silence, she asked, “Where is Jensen? Did he tell you that I was here?”

“Yeah.” Greyson let go of her, his expressions changed a little. However, he knew that nothing had happened between Hattie and Jensen. So, he took out the letter from his pocket and handed it to her, “He asked me to give this to you. He has gone, I don’t know where he will go.”

Hattie lowered her eyes and took the letter. She unfolded it and slowly looked at the content.

Jensen didn’t write much, but her eyes still became red.

There was both gratitude and apology.

The last sentence of the letter was, “As long as you are happy, then I am happy too. I will listen to you, find a suitable girl and live a good life. I think you will not feel burdened anymore. However, know this, I still love you very much.”

Hattie carefully folded the letter, put it back into the envelope and put it away.

“Why did you put it away?” Greyson was a little unhappy. Why would he want her to accept a letter from his rival?

“I always feel sorry for Jensen.” She answered.

“What about me?” Greyson asked quickly.

“You?” Hattie looked at him and then quickly looked away, avoiding his gaze.

“Look at me and answer me.” Greyson cupped her face into his hands, “Do you still love me?”

Looking into his eyes, Hattie subconsciously said the thoughts she kept suppressed in her heart, “I do…”

How can she not love him?!

She loved him so much that she was willing to give her life for him.

“That’s enough…” Greyson smiled, lowered his head and quickly kissed her on the lips, “Let’s not think about the past anymore, okay? Hattie, let’s get married.”

Hattie’s eyes suddenly widened and she looked at him incredulously. She shook her head without hesitation.

“Why?” Greyson was surprised to see her reaction.

“I don’t want you to marry me because you pity me.” Hattie lowered her eyes, “Besides, you will feel burdened by the way I am, you are still… uh!”

Before she could finish her sentence, Greyson suddenly kissed her again. The kiss was fierce and anxious, in the end he almost bit her lips.
