The next day 

Agnes woke up bright and early, only to find Jared missing from her side. 

He was definitely there last night 

A nurse came in to change Agnes’s medication and check her temperature.

Jared took out the porridge, “Got it from nearby the hospital. Eat a bit for now, once you’re discharged, you can stay with me at the Grandeur Mirage Manor, I’ll cook for you then.” 

Agnes smiled. “Tm not that bad off, it’s just a superficial injury. I can be discharged by noon.”
